An existing aircraft maintenance company needed to expand, without disruption to its existing operation. The project involved providing a physical link building, that contains the main administrative offices for the works and fabrication component, cafeteria, work, plus a stores and distribution areas, between two existing hangars. Additionally, a new larger aircraft hangar and a additional public administrative office complex and private airport terminal was required. This involved working throughout the entire complex, which made phasing extremely challenging. The project began with a new masterplan that set out the final directions and then a three phased approach to complete those directives.
