Located on an escarpment overlooking the Pacific and the famed Gold Coast, the project is to provide a beach house that captures the view of the ocean.
A two story atrium dominates the plan, as it is open from the family room on the lower level, to the living room above. The large fully glazed façade opens out onto a large deck that occupies the remainder of the front of the home, allowing deck access from the master bedroom.
Two vertical monoliths flank each side of the building, which house built-in furniture for the dining room and master bedroom respectively.
