Ontario

This building is to be co-located with a massive bio-oil refinery project and exhibits this and other alternative energy sources and environmental issues.  The building itself will be serviced and powered by renewable and alternative energy systems. This will be a ‘green’ building to the highest LEED level, to ensure maximum energy efficiency and the conservation of renewable resources.

Materials used will either be renewable, or recyclable and keeping with the building’s location, wood will be an overriding theme.  The south facing (rear) of the building is compose of a very large array of solar panels sloped at the appropriate angle to capture the sun’s rays.  A glazed box pushes out along the wall to allow visitors to see in, behind and in front of the panels and examine the intricacies of their installation.
