Our team of skilled, creative and accredited professionals, work together as an integrated design team with our clients and their user groups, consultants, agencies and the community, taking responsibility for the success of the project from start to finish. We excel at working on projects with large user groups, new design requirements, complex architectural challenges, and fixed capital and operating budgets. The Firm's Beginnings

The firm's roots were planted in Elliot Lake and Sault Ste. Marie the early 1960’s and founded by Jules Paivio and D. Perry Short. David Ellis joined the firm in 1978 and in 1983, the firm of Short + Ellis was formed and in 1990, david ELLIS architect Inc. was established. In 1998, David Ellis founded and remained principal and chief designer for the evolution of the firm from ellis + pastore architects to EPOH until restablishing david ELLIS architect in 2005.
